84.4% of top pages only rank for one high-volume keyword. 10.1% of top pages rank for two high-volume keywords and 2.7% rank for three high-volume keywords. So, the odds are against you if you want to rank for multiple high-volume keywords in the same article!
Ranking for many keywords in your article depends on your topic. If your website is for a very niche audience, then it'll be difficult to have an article that ranks for many long-tail keywords.
To give yourself the best chance, ensure that you research your keywords before using them in an article. Make sure the keyword you target has a high search volume, and that other sites are successfully ranking for it while ranking for other related keywords.

How important is content length?
Additionally, content length matters. A longer article has more opportunity to contain high-volume searched keywords and long-tail keywords. Longer articles also correlate to more in-depth articles, which people generally prefer.
