Start a blog. Write about things your customers commonly ask about. For example, if you run a plumbing business and often get the question “How often do I have to have my sewer pumped?”, then write a blog post offering tips addressing this question. Not only will your customers appreciate the advice, they'll also learn something and will find your company knowledgeable and trustworthy!
Update social media sites. This is a tried-and-true method of creating quality content. With social media, you can interact with your customers in a personal way. They're more likely to be social with you (hence “social media”) here than they would be on your blog. Make sure to put up a variety of enticing content, such as photos, quotes, videos, and links to interesting articles. By providing your visitors with plenty of interesting content, you'll earn yourself a fan—and potentially, a customer!
2. Use an app
You've probably heard the line “There's an app for that!” before. But you know what? There might not be an app for that. If your business wants to offer customers something unique and exclusive, then you might want to consider building your own app. For example, you could create an app so that your customers can sign up for coupons, or you might offer a way for someone to order dinner online. It all depends on what your company offers and how you can make your products/services more accessible to your customers!

So if your visitors can't find you one their phones, or if your website doesn't load properly on their mobile device, you might be in for some trouble—they're likely to simply leave rather than spend their valuable time trying to get everything to display properly.

4. Pick social media networks
Are you on social media? If not, it's time you are. This doesn't mean you need to hang around on Facebook for hours every day; however, you should at least try to connect with your customers on social media and ensure that you cover all your bases.
You also don't need to feel pressured to be on every single social media network around. Don't feel like you have to sign up for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Youtube... oh my! Just pick two or three of them—however many you think you can keep up with on a regular basis—and make sure that you draw in your visitors with exclusive offers and interesting content, as mentioned in #1.
5. Try something new
Have you seemingly tried everything to get more digital marketing results? You can't get people to engage with you on Facebook, and you can't seem to get them to comment on your blog posts. No one seems to be interested in being social. What do you do now?
Well, digital marketing results take a while to pull in. But if it's been a while and you're feeling frustrated, then perhaps it's time to consider something new.

6. Get visual

If you've already been using visual media in your updates, then that's great. But if you're still not getting the results you want, then perhaps it is time to look into taking out an ad on Facebook or Twitter. By paying for promoted posts, you'll be able to draw people in with an enticing ad. You can get new fans and hopefully get some click-throughs to your website.
Just remember that people are drawn to images. Make sure that everything you post, whether an ad or a social media update, is high-quality and appealingly designed, and you're sure to see results.
